Join me May 4th for the opening reception of Bloomin' Art. See my three artworks in person.
Over a year ago, I found a copy of The Secret Life of Bees and knew it would make a great substrate for an artwork. The question was, what to do with it? The answer came to me as I listened to a friend tell me the story of how terribly her father had abused her in her childhood. Her own story mirrored that of that of the protagonist in the novel. This artwork is dedicated to eight women I know who have suffered abuse either from a parent or a spouse. Find out more.
