Rise from the Ashes

Books Used:  Maus, Gender Queer, and 7 burned books

It might be every author’s dream to have their book challenged by a school board.  What better way to guarantee that teens will read it?  The current trend of challenging books is disturbing.  Let’s shine a light on that.

Rise from the Ashes was accepted to the “Made in Virginia” exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.  Only 31 out of 532 artists were accepted.  

This artwork is 13″ long x 9″ high and 9″ deep.  It displays on a pedestal or book shelf.
