Why? Because I only recently figured out that my iPhone has a time-lapse video function. Now that I’ve discovered it, I’m going crazy making time-lapse videos every time I’m making art. And I’m showing them to everyone!

Despite the mocking from my more technologically advanced children, I’m proud of this small achievement.

One thing I always loved about being an elementary teacher was seeing how young children have such excitement about discovery and learning. It’s totally authentic and raw, and very energizing. (Then they start growing up and they get too cool to be that excited.)

Well, I say take on life the way a child would. Get excited by new things and then share it with others. You’ll not only energize the people around you, but you’ll energize yourself too. That spark and motivation will carry you to the next discovery and it becomes an upward spiral with you at the center.
