Making Strides

I’m celebrating the many roles of women through a series on women’s shoes.

This pair of running shoes and race bib are paper-cast, using the book, First Ladies of Running.  For women from all walks of life, being a runner is as much an identity as being a mother, a wife, or a professional.  Donning a pair of running shoes transforms a woman into a different identity, one of strength and grit.  The book details the women who broke the gender barrier in the sport, paving the way for countless women to share in the identity, I Am A Runner.
