These Boots Were Made for Flying

I’m celebrating the many roles of women through a series on women’s shoes.

This pair of combat boots and the accompanying dog tags are made from the book Jet Girl.  In her memoir, Caroline Johnson reflects on her experience as a pilot of the Navy’s most lethal aircraft, the F/A-18 Super Hornet and the hurdles of being a female in this male-dominated role.
