When the theme for the H2O exhibition was published, I began thinking–what would I like to say about water? Thinking of water made me immediately think about PLASTIC! How sad is that. No only do we have this fascination with water delivered in plastic containers, but we also have square-miles of plastic floating in the world’s primary water source (in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch). I wanted to call attention to our bizarre connection of plastic & water.
The book I used is called “The Hidden Messages in Water.” The author froze water crystals after the water had been exposed to a variety of words (spoken in different voice tones), phrases, music and light. The water crystals showed a pattern of uniformity or deformity, largely correlating with the positive or negative words being used. The book was full of photographs, which create the blue “water” flowing out of the jug.
