It was very exciting to the Third Place People’s Choice award for another piece of altered book art. This piece is called Alice was Pushed! It’s created from The Annotated Alice in Wonderland, and this copy was published in 1960! It was
a damaged book (a dog may have chewed it), so it was nice to rescue it from the landfill.
I was responding to the theme “A Touch of Humor” and if you look carefully, you might agree that Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum look mighty guilty!
Here is a look into the rabbit hole too. It must have been quit a fall!
This piece can be seen in person at The Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach through April 1, 2016. Then it will hopefully go into a solo show at the Va Beach Central Library, or perhaps into a permanent home with a buyer.
