Everyone who has taken one of my Taste of Art classes knows that I like to infuse our painting project with meaning. Sure, it’s nice to to have a fun, social painting experience. It’s great to learn the techniques that make the paint (or whatever medium) work. But being a pragmatic person, I like for our projects to also have meaning. We always start with some sort of focus, either from an inspirational reading or even a few minutes of journaling.
This was on my mind this week due to the 10,000 Lights challenge, so I made a mind-map about infusing purpose into art, hobbies, activities…whatever it is that we do. Ponder it a while. Then print it out and add your own thoughts to it. Share it with others. And then go create (before it’s too late).
