Book Used: M. C. Escher
The book was a gift from a former art teacher, and the idea to make the Drawing Hands in 3D was just too delicious to pass up.
I used a product called Body Double to make silicone casts of my own hands. Then used the silicone molds to create a paper-casted hands that emerge out of M. C. Escher’s famous tessellated drawings. Even the pencils are paper, made from the dust jacket of the book.
This artwork has a wire on the back and can hang on a wall, or it can be displayed on a pedestal or shelf. It is 14″ high x 9″ wide x 6″ deep.
