Like I said last week, I’m a sucker for New Year’s Resolutions. Even though most of them tend to fail, I still believe in them. There is just something about this time of year that makes a person receptive to self-improvement.
Broad resolutions communicate a wish for change: I’m going to be healthier, I’m going to pursue my hobbies more, I’m going to be a happier person. What they don’t do is give you a roadmap for actual change. In order to make your resolution go to work for you they need to be transformed into actual GOALS.
To help you do this, I’ve created a worksheet. This one is designed specifically for artists, with some suggested art-related resolutions. Anyone who is not an artist can use the worksheet by simply substituting your own plans for personal or professional growth in 2015. Maybe these artists’ resolutions will spark some ideas for you.
