This work is a reflection on the weight of memory, history, and justice, inspired by We Carry Their Bones by Erin Kimmerle. Using paper chains—a symbol of connection, burden, and continuity—I explore themes of absence, fragmentation, and the lingering presence of those whose lives were silenced.

The thousands of holes represent the boys–boys who lost their innocence and childhood in the care of the state of Florida. I invite viewers to consider what is missing, what is carried, and what must be confronted to bring light to the shadows of history.
