This artwork explores the profound influence of literature and the diverse voices that shape our understanding of the world. Through the medium of paper-cast faces, I explore the intersection of identity, storytelling, and the transformative power of language.
Three friends graciously endured the process of having silicone molds made of their faces. The molds were then used to cast their image in paper. The inside of the mask is adorned with passages and the titles of the books they chose. The rest of the text spills forth from them as though the authors had put words in their mouths.

This installation can be hung against a wall or suspended from the ceiling. The paper spilling out of each mouth can be arranged in a variety of ways based on the space.
