Maggie Kerrigan is a visual artist located in Virginia Beach, VA who makes two- and three-dimensional artworks by altering books.  Each artwork begins with a carefully curated book and an individualized process intrigue the viewer and further explore the literature’s themes.  A variety of processes are used, including cutting, carving, folding, paper casting, and sometimes deconstruction and reconstruction of the book.  Click on the menu to view her portfolio or click below for blog posts about current works and studio news.

My artwork, Their Tender Hearts, is part of the Global Views of Home exhibit in the Jones-Carter Gallery.  The exhibition is on view until Dec. 3 and is highly recommended!
