It’s an honor to be asked by Cam Hayes to provide some content for his blog about all the wonderful things that Virginia Beach has to offer. Of course, many people who travel seek out the local art scene. What better way to get a feel for the vibe of a city than to view it through an artist’s eyes? And now that VB has a thriving ViBe Creative District, you can easily walk around and enjoy the locally-owned creative businesses.
Along with the mention in his post, I was also super excited to get a grant from the Virginia Tourism Corp. for putting brochures about my studio in the welcome center on I-64 heading toward the beach. The next time you pull into the New Kent rest area, check out the brochure racks and look for The Book Artist.
